“Political of walk”
Expressing steps, processions, drifts and ambulations…

Martial procession of powerful infamous and baroques of Ulrike Ottinger to the powerful demonstrations dumb or speaking about political subjects moving, such as those of Walk against the AIDS of 1994 filmed by Sothean Nhieim or of the trans' in anger of Existrans 2005 filmed by Trans the Activist Group, the policy is also done in the street, one knows it. Who is visible, who can occupy and transform public space. Walk, place of its force, is also that of a possibility of invention of the people. If one can recover the word there, one exposes to it also his body. In its significant drift, Steven Cohen, South-African dancer performer, are “in the middle of”. By its outraged, vulnerable and enigmatic walk, its presence comes to intensify the conflict of spaces and the conditions. But, offering its splendid body, and in its ambiguity even, its gesture is also done addresses and gift. The position of the land-surveyor is solitary, and very interior. And in Vidéolab, if it is articulation of a promise of collective, it is initially of where can emerge the thought, where to place oneself, in a different, suspensive, but simultaneous time with the fight. Thought which testifies, and registered inside film, in the withdrawal in the word, and the cut with the spectacular one, the improbability even of political film, always in on this side, if it is not insurrectionary. “One had started, here in the Antilles, by making fun the wire, those which had been born over there in France (the sociologists said: those of the second generation), (…) One évertuait oneself of everywhere laminairement to wedge them between two impossible, of one here and one over there, and between two identities, as sensitive to the cold and circumspect one as the other, of the French and the West-Indian. The idea grows bigger whereas the only resource was integration. There were national leaders of integration. It was necessary to achieve the irreversible citizenship, with the place even where it had been granted to you, and in spite of same the resistance of the licensed citizens, said French of stock. But they are, these which sail thus between two impossible, truly the salt of diversity. It is not need for integration, not more than of segregation, to live together in the world and to eat all the mangers world in a country. And to continue to however be in relation between darkness and the country from where you come. Quartering, the impossible one, it is you even who done it, which create it.” Extract of All-world/Edouard Glissant, Paris, Gallimard, 1995, pp. 324

queer-a-caen-petit-format-2.jpg
On Friday June 23, of 20:00 at midnight, the Lux cinema devotes one evening of film projection and debates around the theory Queer, fertile movement of déconstruction of the sexual identities. Resulting from the gay minorities and lesbians and authors such as Deleuze or Foucault, Queer reverses the hétérocentrées prospects and asserts an assertion of the minorities, while proposing a fluidity of the desires and identities. This movement comes to inform many contemporary debates, as well on the questions of the sexual policies as about artistic questions. Through ten court-measurings, rare and beautiful, projected for the first time at Caen, like through the very beautiful feature film Venuz Servant boys of Gabriel Baur, film-voyage to the countries of the kinds from New York to San Francisco while passing by Berlin, this evening wishes you the welcome which you are queer, gay, lesbian, Bi, trans, hétéro, post-hétéro, cyborg, gender-variable, feminist or experimental amateur of vidéos or contemporary art.
The evening will begin with an introduction to the theory and the Queer movement

at the University Paris VIII - Saint-Denis

Watashitachi (the people which misses), in charge of the Programming Cinema of the Intercultural Festival of Saint-Denis, cordially invite you to the university Paris VIII, on May 11 nearest. This program will try to trace some axes of a interculturality contemporary, subtle, animated, in becoming. Impensés colonial, ostracized suburbs/creolity, subalternism, these films draw which speeches and political stating can propose and oppose committed scenario writers or collectives. We will stop on an activism of the popular quarters within a French situation postcoloniale, and more particularly on the possible intersection between cultural referents and political feminist. We will also make place in comparison with young scenario writers, whose practice of documentary, allows a stating of oneself more intimate, for an otherness which is invented in the identity traffic, report/ratio of oneself with the other. The dance hip hop, finally, like dynamic compost of the interculturality, practised with height and promptness, invitation with a fusion and a maintained variation, between the cultures.

This program, in the shape of small proclamation, from there will be foraged around multiple forms of desires, sublimated desires, assumed, here, there, very with side, burst desires, moving, transgenres. These recomposed desires, like other reports/ratios in the world, are essential like a vital political need. The documentary one Of the pink Panthers in Cracow, which follows the series of ten cost-measurings presented this evening, opens another interrogation on the fights to be carried out, which policy to hold and for which desire of policy.
