“Political of walk”
Expressing steps, processions, drifts and ambulations…

Martial procession of powerful infamous and baroques of Ulrike Ottinger to the powerful demonstrations dumb or speaking about political subjects moving, such as those of Walk against the AIDS of 1994 filmed by Sothean Nhieim or of the trans' in anger of Existrans 2005 filmed by Trans the Activist Group, the policy is also done in the street, one knows it. Who is visible, who can occupy and transform public space. Walk, place of its force, is also that of a possibility of invention of the people. If one can recover the word there, one exposes to it also his body. In its significant drift, Steven Cohen, South-African dancer performer, are “in the middle of”. By its outraged, vulnerable and enigmatic walk, its presence comes to intensify the conflict of spaces and the conditions. But, offering its splendid body, and in its ambiguity even, its gesture is also done addresses and gift. The position of the land-surveyor is solitary, and very interior. And in Vidéolab, if it is articulation of a promise of collective, it is initially of where can emerge the thought, where to place oneself, in a different, suspensive, but simultaneous time with the fight. Thought which testifies, and registered inside film, in the withdrawal in the word, and the cut with the spectacular one, the improbability even of political film, always in on this side, if it is not insurrectionary. Superbia - Der Stolz de Ulrike Ottinger (Germany, 1986) - 15 '

ulrikeottinger.jpg “It is in me that the tree of the defect pushed whose my six girls are the fruits of the sin: greediness, idleness, avarice, anger, jealousy lust. But see yourself fits with body it of Superbia taken along by the six other sins, in a triumphal walk and accompanied by a broad escort…” Ulrike Ottinger, director German with work since the Seventies, whose allegorical work, often qualified of feminist and also connected with the cinema queer, is ignored still too much in France.

Candlestick of Steven Cohen (South Africa, 2002) - 17 '
stevencohen-chandelier.jpg The video of Candlestick was carried out in the middle of the black SDF of Johannesburg during the destruction of their shantytown by the municipal employees of the city (equipped in red) in a ballet where violence is omnipresent. “The artists always have depicts the social life of their time, by my displacements in candlestick-tutu through the shantytown in a state of destruction and by the fact of filming, it is what I also do: a digital painting of the social life, with imaginary half, and awfully true half”. The work of Candlestick reveals through the art of the performance, of the dance and film, contradictions between Europe and Africa, the white and the blacks, the rich person and the poor, the shade and the light, deprived and the public, the forts and oppressed, safety and the danger ". (text extracted the program of the Ballet Atlantic, for the presentation of the spectacle not so good, Steven Cohen).
December 1, 1994 (Walk against the AIDS) from Sothean Nhieim (France, Super 8), 13 '
Emotions of the walkers seeming like palpable outside, which étreint the heart in sad and frozen splendour EC night walk, it is that the city does not speak any more but about that.
Existrans - XXBoys of the GAT (Trans Activist Group) - 4 ' - 2005
gat-existrans.jpgAt the time of Existrans 2005, the XXBoys pirates filmed by Trans the Activist Group protest high and strong the beauty of their trans bodies, their kind and their anger against the public policies, weaving their singular presences, the force of their collective voice.

Vidéolab of the Coordination of Intermittent and Precarious of Ile de France
cipidf-videolab.jpg The videolab is a multi-media device of collective stating opened with all which is regularly held in CIPIdF (Coordination of Intermittent and Precarious of Ile de France) quay of Charente. For the moment, with the length of ambulations we tried to question our trajectories and our experiments of life through the question of the intermittency. We also tried to clarify our relations with the form “coordination”. We still wondered how is composed for each one the question of the income and that of work (wages), that of time (in and except employment), that of employment (form and contents) with our share of incommensurable and desire. The device of the videolab presupposes indistinctness between “actor” and “spectator”, between producer-realizer of images and filmed subjects, between experts and subjects of investigation. It is a device of production of public which unties separations, the hierarchies, the roles: who is constituent of Us by the mediation of the video. Thereafter the videolab proposes to intervene on the points of fight which have suddenly opened on the territories. Each time the images produced by the device with the CIPIDF, in the street, the factories, ANPE will be projected in the new place of intervention, starting a new experiment of collective stating, of constitution of sensitive, manufacture of a division.
