She has presented her work in Europe, Canada, and the United States. Lorena Wolffer is also a promoter of experimental art, she has organised over twenty artistic events, in particular the exhibitions \u00bf Krimen urbano ? (Antiguo Edificio de Bomberos, 2001), Se\u00f1ales de resistencia (Mexico City Museum, 2000), Arte chido, el arte de la violencia (Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso, 1997) y Terreno Peligroso \/ Danger Zone (UCLA, Los \u00c1ngeles, California y Ex-Teresa Arte Alternativo, 1995). She was co founder and director of the Mexican cultural centre Ex-Teresa Arte Alternativo (1994-1996) ; in charge of the section Mujeres del Siglo XXI, IMER 108 (2000-2002); etc. She is co creator and co scriptwriter of the televised cultural programme La Caja negra, on Once TV (2003-2004) and currently deals with the coordination of the National Autonomous University of Mexico\u2019s cultural broadcasting and, among other things, teaches performance at the National Centre of Mexican Arts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n<strong><span class=\"il\">Mientras dormiamos (el caso Juarez) <\/span><span class=\"il\">de Lorena Wolffer (2002, 10&#8242;)<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<span class=\"il\">&#8220;In While we\u2019re sleeping (the Ju\u00e1rez scandal), Lorena Wolffer\u2019s body, transformed as a symbolic card, is used<br \/>\nto document and give an account of fifty cases recorded in Juarez City (Mexico) where since the beginning of the nineties, more than 300 woman have been murdered and as many reported missing. The artist\u2019s body becomes a vehicle of representation for the terrible violence suffered by these women. (\u2026)<br \/>\nIn 1998, he directed Dandy Dust, a cult film which borrowed from many cinematographic styles. <br \/>\nInspired by films about gender (live-action Japanese manga series, horror films, feminism and Viennese Actionnism), Dandy Dust is a transgender feature-film in which the hybridization amongst sexual genders can only be equaled by the sophistication and beauty of the processes of fabrication; it is a sumptuous work about colors and substances, has a highly camp sense of exaggeration and reveals the poetical and violent crudeness of a proliferating sexual universe.<br \/>\nHans Scheirl explores the utopian potential of video films through the fluidity of identities, involving masculine\/feminine, the decadent 18th century\/ science-fiction (a post-apocalyptic period and the poetry of techno culture) within a shattered, polymorphous narrative. It is a daydream that makes use of art, the media, technological developments, medicine, and artificial bodies.
